Paige & Andrew are getting married! – Tulsa Wedding Photographer

Its pretty rare that I don’t meet my couples long before we ever do their engagement pictures. But with Paige and Andrew their session was the first time we met face to face. And the truth is… I love them!! They are both precious as can be! Paige is a little firecracker and is so much fun to be around. And the way Andrew looks at her will just melt your heart. We were blessed with LOVELY weather the day of their session and we ran around town having a ball!
2 very important things to note: 1) They wanted to personalize their session by doing something that was uniquely “them”. Claud’s Hamburgers on Brookside is a family tradtion for them, so we had to get a couple shots there. (Thank you Claud’s for being so accommodating!) 2) Paige wore awesome shoes with every outfit!!! Its a combination that can’t be beat. Can’t wait for the wedding!!

***I will be out of the office from 3/11 – 3/15. Paddywack and I are going on a little get away. This will be our first non work/non family emergency get away in over a year and a half. Can’t wait!! This child is growing up way too fast! I’m going to be shooting his senior pictures before I know it! And can we talk about how much I love a chunky baby?! They’re the best kind of babies. They really are. But when its a naked, smiley, chunky baby… geez. Its just too much. I really have no words today, just enjoy the pics! Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show: This Sunday!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we’re going to be at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show this Sunday at the Hard Rock. This show is FANTASTIC!! They purposefully keep it smaller and more intimate so that you’re not completely overwhellmed. You’ll have time to visit with vendors and actually do some shopping for your wedding. Also, and the thing I LOVE about this show, is that they have a gown sale. So all you girls that got engaged this weekend (Congrats to my Valentine’s day engagements!!) you can try on dresses at the show from some the best gown shops in town. Preregister online here. You won’t want to miss this show!

When you’re done with that show… hop on over to Dresser Mansion where they’ll be having a free open house! We’ll also be at this show. Dresser’s open house is great! You get to tour the mansion and there’s always yummy food and beverages! So make a day of it and enjoy both shows. They’re both totally worth it and lots of fun!!

Bridal Session – Tulsa Wedding Photographer

One of my goals this year was to work my “art”. So when I saw this amazing old piano at my friend’s house, and I just had to use it. I immediately pictured a bride in a vintage dress with a birdcage veil. A few days later I was doing a look through of the people following my fan page on Facebook and I ran across a picture of Sarah in her wedding dress. She was the perfect bride. So I begged and pleaded both her to model and Johnny B to let me us his house. They were both very kind and obliged. April Mary with Faccia Bella did her makeup and the whole look was stunning! There’s not a ton of variety in these pictures, but these were my favorites. (in case there’s any confusion, a normal bridal session would have much for variety! ) blog1 blog2 blog3

BTW… John Burch (Johnny B) and his brothers have a pretty rad band called The Earth-Men. They should be releasing a CD before too long. I’ll keep ya updated when its released!

Maternity Snow Sesssions: Tulsa Maternity Photographer

On Saturday I got the opportunity to photograph two beautiful expecting Mamas. I love it that I have friends and clients that I can say to “hey… want to stand half naked in the snow to make art???” and they’re all for it! I think it was worth the cold. Both girls were fabulous in front of the camera and so much fun to photograph. Gina (the first lady shown) is a friend of mine and I’ve photographed her before so I knew she was a great model. But Brittany is a new client so the fact that she was AWESOME infront of the camera was a major plus! Thanks girls for braving the weather! Destination Weddings…

In other news, isn’t my cat freaking cute??? His name is Norm.

He’s a lover. And he frequently greets us like he’s greeting Paddycakes in the above shot.

P.S. One of my goals this year is to take snapshots of our life. So I got a point and shoot camera that we could play with. Apparently a lot of our life is the cats. Oh well.

Last Minute Boudoir Marathon – Tulsa Boudoir Photographer

I’ve decided to add a last minute Boudoir Marathon to the schedule. For those who don’t know what a boudoir marathon is, its a day where we book a full day’s worth of sessions, bring in a makeup artist and then you’re able to have boudoir pictures for a reduced rate. Brides, this makes a great wedding gift for your groom!! Even if you’re not able to participate in this marathon, consider making a session later on. Cassie & Rickey Engaged: Tulsa Wedding Photographer

Since Cassie and Rickey will be my first wedding of the season, and since I know Cassie’s fabulous mama, Teauna, is a faithful blog reader, I thought it was high time to post pictures from their e-session! I am so incredibly excited about this wedding! Its going to be unbelievable. (I just got a look at C’s dress last night… and holy crap! I can not wait for her bridal session)
Cassie and Rickey are a blast to photograph. They’re funny, nuts about eachother, and we all clicked right away. We wondered around downtown Tulsa for their session and ended up at McNellies. They met at a small town bar so we thought it was appropriate to do part of their session in a bar setting. ***Note to brides: Having trouble getting your groom to get in the mood for your engagement session? Guilty/Top 50: Tulsa Wedding Photographer

So… yeah. Um… Well its like this…

Okay I’ve got very few good excuses for not updating the blog in a super long time. BUT. I did have my busiest Christmas season ever and I was completely overwhellmed (thank you thank you thank you!) That’s always a good problem! I stayed busy up until the very last second. (No lie. I had a wedding on Christmas Eve. In a blizzard) So there’s that excuse. There are a few other that are actually really good. But no one wants to listen to me whine, right?

And as soon as the new year hit I’ve been slammed with all these FABULOUS new brides! I’m so excited about this year’s wedding season. You chicks are planning some AMAZING weddings and I’m thrilled to be a part of them. I love it that so many people get engaged over the holidays. Girls… please don’t wait to hire your vendors if you’ve got your date set! Everyone I know is booking up sooo quickly!

So since I was the worst blogger in the history of blogging this year I didn’t post images from most of my weddings. (Oh the guilt and the torment!!!) Since I didn’t do that I wanted to dedicate a post to my top 50 favorite images from the weddings this year. I could have posted 150. There were just too many images that I adored! And then I could post another 150 my favorites April took. (BTW! April had her baby last week! She is adorable!) So get ready for a whole lotta kissing pictures. For some reason I picked a lot of those to go in this set.
