The fabulous Summer Harris invited me to shoot a wedding with her this weekend in Dallas. It’s a slow time of year for weddings and I don’t like getting rusty so I jumped on the offer. (that and it gave me an excuse to eat at Pappasitos!) The wedding was held at Perkins Chapel on the campus of SMU and the reception was at Maggianos. I didn’t know you could have a reception there, but it was actually very nice. It poured rain all day long so we got lots of opportunities to practice our flash photography skills. I find that so many photographers hate using their flashes but I think it should be our responsibility as photographers to learn it and love it. (but we did go outside for some fun umbrella shots too)
A little flash flavor with an awesome spiral staircase. So much fun! Everyone should have a spiral staircase at their wedding!
