Herbert Family – Tulsa Family Portraits

I seriously love fall. I get so busy with family portrait sessions because its Christmas card season!! And I love it!! Another great thing about fall is that I get to photograph bffs! And this is one of my oldest bffs. And by oldest I mean that I’ve known her for a long time, not that she’s an old woman. We met in our sophmore year in high school in biology class, and we’ve been friends ever since. Oh the stories we can tell about eachother!! From swing dancing to skiing and everything in between. But I’ll save you, besides, most the time its her and I cracking up at our own stories and everyone else mostly confused. This year she happened to give birth to one of the cutest, funniest little girls I’ve seen in awhile. Miss A has the best expressions and were absolutely cracking up through the session! I’m the unofficial Aunt Dre. Trust me, this kid has an abundance of actual aunts, so its a privelege to get to be an almost aunt to her.

This is my favorite I think!! Not sure why, I just really like it!!

The Little Misses Weeks – Tulsa Family Photographer

I was doing so well keeping up with this blog, and then October happened. October happens every year, you’d think I wouldn’t be surprised by it. But it always catches me off gaurd. That’s okay, October is my time to play and to meet all sorts of new fabulous people! And the Weeks family rank pretty high on that list! I got to photograph these ADORABLE little girls this past week. (Yes I know I’m blogging them before the enormous significant amount of waiting posts) Actually, I photographed the whole family. But there were too many cute pictures of the girls so Mom and Dad are getting left out of this post. I’m sure they don’t mind! It was so great getting to photograph girls. It seems like I photograph a lot of boys. And I love boys! In fact, all of my nephews are boys!! (Wait for it… let it sink in… I seriously crack myself up!!) But getting to play with a couple little girls in perfect little dresses is good for my girly heart.

James: 1 Year – Tulsa Family Photographer

Of all things I post on my blog, I get more people comment about Mr. James than anyone else. My faithful blog stalkers (who never leave comments, you know who you are) have watched him grow up this past year. The pictures I posted of his birthday party got more attention than any post I’ve ever made. And rightfully so. The kid is stinkin’ cute!! His official 1 year portraits are no exception. Unbeknownst (wow, big word! that homeschoolings paying off!!) to his parents or me of course, he was coming down with a nasty case of bronchitist the day we took these. He’s such a sweet, smiley baby so none of us could figure out why he wasn’t into his portrait session. But despite him not feeling well, he we still got some darling shots of him. For the photographers reading this… check out that gorgeous natural light! Nice shadow, good rim light. Love.

And how do you know when James is done taking pictures? haha! Check out the frown! It makes me laugh every time!!
