Okay, so yesterday I said one of my favorite parts of my job is photographing seniors. Another favorite part of my job is photographing maternity sessions. (the truth is, is that almost every part of shooting is my favorite. Its kinda why I love what I do. Duh.) Sarah was the PERFECT client from start to finish! a) she’s adorable b) she’s a planner. So when she initially called and we started planning her session I got super excited. I know being a “planner” is an odd thing for me to comment about, but it just made both me and Calista’s jobs just easypeasy. (eta, have I mentioned that Calista is my office manager? Well she is. More about that later. Maybe. Someday.) Anyway, take a look! And Sarah, congrats on the twins!!

I realized that it’s been a super long time since I’ve showed off any baby and maternity work!! I really do a lot of it, but for some reason it frequently doesn’t make it to the blog! So I thought I would just combine a blog. This Mama and baby are absolutely precious! Mama photographs soooo beautifully and so does her gorgeous little daughter! I love to photograph newborn sessions in the baby’s home. We do them so quickly after the birth (5-10 days) that I find that its more comfortable for Mama and easier than getting a brand new baby out. So ooh and aahh, over this adorable little newborn!

P.S. Cause you’re looking at my blog, you might be interested. We have collections that include Maternity and Newborn sessions, and even sessions that cover the maternity all the way up to the 1 year portraits!!

We went out awhile back with Willie and Chelsea to shoot their maternity portraits. We originally were going to shoot at Philbrook, but at the last minute Chelsea decided that they were more of the downtown types so we switched it up. And I’m glad we did. I think downtown was a much better fit for their personalities. Chelsea was such a cute little pregnant chick and I really enjoyed getting to photograph her. And Willie was a good sport and made his wifey happy by participating. Smart man! The day Chelsea picked up her final portrait order she was pretty sure she was in labor. She said “I just wanted to make sure I got my pictures first!” That’s commitment!
