James’ 1st Birthday – Tulsa Family Photographer

I can’t believe this little baby is already 1 years old! I remember when he was a tiny little thing asleep in a basket. Heck, I remember he was still in his Mama’s tummy. When Amanda approached me about documenting James’ party I jumped at the chance. She really throws a great party! Despite it being horribly hot a bit warm, it was a great afternoon. Luckily they all had a pool to play in to stay cool. The whale theme was adorable! You should have seen the invitation! It was perfect and oh so cute!!Seriously. How cute is he?? He really gets cuter and cuter every time I see him. So they put James infront of the cake, everyone starts singinig, as soon as he’s free to smash himself into the cake he gets nervous, kicks it over, and has a total meltdown. Poor kid. I hate being sung to as well. Luckily, Mama was there to make it all better. Between Amanda and Ben they got him settled down and more into the cake. I mean, look at him, I don’t think he turns down a lot of cake. And then his own personal whale pool was there to cool him off after being covered in lovely icing. He’s quite a swimmer!My favorite detail of the day. Cute, right?

Sabrina, Dave & Jack – Tulsa Family Photographer

So I know Sab follows my blog super close so I’m sure she’s shocked right now seeing her name on the header. Cause we did the pics quite awhile ago. But like I said, I just want to show off all the fun stuff I’ve been up to. We actually did the shoot as a family shoot for Sabrina’s grandma for a gift. So we did the full family pic with Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Cindy, Mama Pam, Baby Cakes and of course Sabrina, Jack and Dave. It was also time for Jack’s 9 month pictures, so we were able to knock that out at the same time. Jack is beautiful. He has the longest eyelashes I’ve ever seen on a baby and he’s totally squeezable. Love this family and I’m so glad to have them as friends! Love you Sab!

Taylor’s Bridal Portraits – Tulsa Bridal Portraits

Taylor loves to be photographed. And luckily, I love to photograph her! Her sister and mama came along for the bridal session and we all had a great time laughing and chatting about her wedding. Tay had two wedding dresses so I got to shoot her in both of them. The last picture I have on here of Taylor, in my opinion, is SO her! And what girl doesn’t love to twirl? Remember when you were a little girl and you judged how “good” a dress was by how well it twirled? I remember I had a Christmas dress (which my Mom made, of course!) and it twirled so far! I wonder if Mom could whip me out another dress just for twirling. I’m just sayin. My point being, I don’t see why we have to stop twirling just because we’re grown ups. And I think a wedding dress is as good an opportunity to twirl than any.

…I wonder how many times I used the word Twirl in that blog?

The Bridal Studio – Tulsa Wedding Society

The Tulsa Wedding Society is hosting an AMAZING event!! I can’t tell you how excited we are about it! Its called The Bridal Studio and its an educational and interactive day that includes seminars designed to help you develop a budget; discover how to identify and highlight your signature elements; learn how to create a timeline and manage planning stress; and get tips on focusing and allocating your resources. At the end of the day, you’ll leave feeling less overwhelmed with the wedding process and more inspired to pursue your unique vision for your wedding. The seminars are being taught by some of Tulsa’s leading wedding vendors. THIS ISN’T A BRIDAL SHOW!! There will be no pushy vendors there trying to get you to book on the spot! I’m not kidding… you don’t want to miss this event.

Now lets talk details. It will be held April 3rd (yes that’s NEXT weekend!) from 10-4 at the Tulsa Southern Hills Hilton. Tickets are $60 per couple (if your fiance can’t make it, feel free to bring your mom or girlfriend) and lunch will be served. And the Tulsa Wedding Society will have lots of giveaways on hand. I know I’m personally giving away a free bridal session with an 11×14 print to every attendee! That’s a $220 value right there!

Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show: This Sunday!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we’re going to be at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show this Sunday at the Hard Rock. This show is FANTASTIC!! They purposefully keep it smaller and more intimate so that you’re not completely overwhellmed. You’ll have time to visit with vendors and actually do some shopping for your wedding. Also, and the thing I LOVE about this show, is that they have a gown sale. So all you girls that got engaged this weekend (Congrats to my Valentine’s day engagements!!) you can try on dresses at the show from some the best gown shops in town. Preregister online here. You won’t want to miss this show!

When you’re done with that show… hop on over to Dresser Mansion where they’ll be having a free open house! We’ll also be at this show. Dresser’s open house is great! You get to tour the mansion and there’s always yummy food and beverages! So make a day of it and enjoy both shows. They’re both totally worth it and lots of fun!!

Larissa & TJ Engagement – Tulsa, OK

Still in catch up mod here folks… lots more to come. We did Larissa and TJ’s engagement session forever ago and I’d forgotten what a great session it was until I just pulled these pictures up. So I just had to share. Larissa & TJ kept their outfits simple, which always looks good. I’m all about bringing a lot of crazy funky outfits. But if you’re the type that likes something easy, white tops and jeans always look great. From the first time I met Larissa she mentioned how much she loved the field shots. So we made sure to find a good field after we hit Philbrook for a few pictures. For some reason most of these pictures are kissy ones, but they all just happened to be my faves from the session. Thanks for looking!

It is very much that time of year again… Fall/Christmas pictures!! Its my favorite time of the year! The time where I tell my husband “Love you! See you in December!” because I’m so very busy. But I wouldn’t change a thing. Every year I offer a fall special and its no different this year. I’ve scheduled 2 days for this super discounted pricing. These will be mini sessions that will last approximately 20-30 minutes. You’ll have 10-15 images to view online about a week after the session. The Bridal Show – Tulsa, OK

The Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show was a huge success! Thank thank you thank you to everyone who dropped by the booth to say hi. I had such a fantastic time getting to meet so many fabulous brides, and also getting to catch up with some of my vendor friends! It was also exciting to get to see some old friends who are now planning their weddings along with some of my current brides. Seriously, it was such a blast! Brandy’s Bridals – Tulsa, OK

Now that Miss Mrs. Brandy is married I’m finally able to share her bridal pictures we did. This was a great session. Brandy was the 2nd bride EVER to be photographed in Great Hall of Philbrook for her bridal session. (want to be the 3rd? Ask me for details when its time to book your bridal session). We also of course wondered around the grounds. We got so many fabulous pictures from the session but these are probably some of my favorites.

I just love Brandy's mama, Sherry. She's such a doll! I've had such a great time getting to know her over the last few months.

Amanda and Ben had their baby this summer. He is ADORABLE! Amanda is fabulous and lets me do whatever I want with her sessions. So although we did field shots for the maternity session I really wanted to do so more with the newborns. She was up for it!

Can I also say that when Amanda and I work together we’re pretty much amazing? I’m not just talking about pictures… she dropped by the house awhile back and her car battery died. We jumped it. Just the 2 of us. (okay so we did call Ben to get some instructions, but we fixed it sans husbands) Amanda you’re the best, girl! Thanks for all the fabulous brides you’ve sent my way and thanks for the card and also the crown & coke!

Definitely my favorite from the session! Babies that are less than 2 weeks old are great. Once they're asleep you can put them just about any squished up position that you want! Isn't this just darling?! Doesn't it make you want to leave a comment?
