Jessica & A.J.: Married – Tulsa Wedding Photographer

Well… so much for posting all my 2011 weddings in 2011. I tried, I honestly did. And I thought I was pretty close. But then I remembered a bunch few that somehow didn’t make it. I do have an excuse for 2 weddings in that they were at the very end of 2011. And Jessica and A.J.’s was one of them. You’ll find this post heavy in portraits because a) I love doing them and b) Jessica loves having them done. So we had all sorts of fun playing around downtown Tulsa. The day had some super memorable moments. The day of their wedding also happened to be on the day of the Parade of Lights and the Jingle Bell Run. Not to mention the other Christmas festivities going on downtown. Needless to say… downtown Tulsa was packed! But Jessica LOVES attention (and who can blame her?) and she was eating up all the honks, hoots, hollers and congrats she was getting! She and A.J. even took off running along the 5k’ers which made for an hilarious pic. (which for some reason didn’t make into the blog). The ceremony was at Trinity Episcopal and the reception at the Tulsa Convention Center. If you haven’t seen the convention center since its been revamped, you must! Its a great location for a reception!! We’re just jumping right in here, with the first look!!

So the highlight of my day was when we were running around the crowds downtown, a woman ran out and asked us to come into their brand new restaurant to do some pics. So its kind of a photographer thing (or maybe its just an Andrea thing) to get to photograph in a place no one else has. So yeah, bragging rights. The restaurant is Edward Delks and you MUST try it out!! I haven’t been yet, but the owners are amazing and oh so hospitable! They treated Jessica and A.J. fabulously and I’m guessing they do that for all the patrons of their restaurant.

Florals were by the incomparable, Bridal Garden!! Love that Lindi! She’s so talented!!

We can’t forget Mr. T here. He is so darn cute!! And I love that expression. Shows that he can be a little rotten, but only in the best way of course!

Instead of the best man handing over Jessica’s ring, Jessica’s little man did. Such a sweet moment!

Brittney & Nick: Married – Claremore Wedding Photographer

I met Brittney in September of 2010, and shortly after that she booked her November 2011 wedding with me. It was a long engagement, but its been such a blessing getting to know her and her mama! I had been excited about this wedding for awhile because a) I knew it was going to be fabulous and b) I love photographing Brittney and Nick. They’re ridiculously good looking and are an absolute dream to work with. They held their rustic Italian themed wedding in Claremore at First Baptist Claremore and their reception at the Centennial Center at Rogers State University. A couple weeks before the wedding I noticed that Brittney had started pinning a lot of wedding pictures with old pickups on Pinterest. Come to find out, their getaway car was a newly restored red truck. Oooooh you know I was happy. So I asked if it could go out to the park with us for the portrait session! yay oh yay oh yay!!

I don’t know what it is about these shots that April took, but I love them. They’re so simple and beautiful. You’re gonna see lots of details of flowers and decor all done by Flower Play Designs. Soooo gorgeous!!A lot of girls are now doing first looks with their daddy’s. Its such a sweet emotional moment and this one did not dissapoint. Brittney is the only daughter in her family, and so it just makes it extra special that she’s Daddy’s only little girl.

Ya know I love me a fabulous first look!! LOVE this moment!!!yup. Red truck. Fabulous right?! And are we loving the custom signs??

Ohmahgah. I love the colors and aren’t the bridesmaids gorgeous?? Such a good looking wedding party!!!

Okay I have to point out that these pictures would NOT be this fabulous without the professional lighting! You MUST have professional lighting, ESPECIALLY in a ballroom!! Check out Empire Lighting!!I can’t get over how much I love this picture!! Its freakin perfect!! April rocks my face off!!!

Kelsey & Chad: Married – Tulsa Wedding Photography

I just adore Kelsey and Chad. I kinda have a crush on them. They’re absolutely the cutest couple, they’re gorgeous, so fun to be around, and even more fun to photograph. I think their wedding was proof that you can have a casual, but still fabulous, wedding. The first time I talked to Kelsey and Chad they talked about how they wanted everyone to be comfortable at their wedding. Their having a great a relaxed time was their priority, and they made that happen. The wedding was held at the Barn (Vive la Ranch) on a gorgeous and cool November day. Shooting a wedding is exhausting no matter how great it is. But after their wedding I was so pumped (obviously I’m a child of the 90’s, forgive me) from such a great day that I was still full of energy. Anyway, I’ll let the pictures do most the talking. This dress orginally had a bow on it. Kelsey altered it to have these vintagey little lovelies on it. She had a matching hair piece as well.

Now I gotta warn you about this first look. Its so much sweetness that you may not be able to handle it. I think most girls dream about a guy that adores them as much as Chad adores Kelsey. His expression from seeing her for the first time was absolutely priceless.

Only followed up with an amazing kiss and expression! I could not have posed it better myself. I love when my couples get completely lost in eachother and don’t even seem to notice I’m there. Favorite!!And Kelsey’s reaction… ya know I love me some crying pics.

You just can’t get married at the Barn without a picture on the swing. Love it!Ooooh how I love this picture!!! And aren’t we loving the purple cardigan?? Such a fabulous touch and it fit the feeling of the wedding perfectly.

I’m just in love with the style of the wedding party! So unique and so striking!!

You can’t talk about this couple without talking about Addy. She’s probably one of the best dogs I’ve ever met. She helped her “daddy” walk everyone down the aisle, then sat and watched the wedding quietly. But weddings are tough, even for dogs, and Addy was pretty tired by the time the ceremony rolled around. At the Barn there’s a pond with a couple swans that live there. Well shortly before this picture, Addy had just about snagged her a swan for dinner. But luckily Chad yelled after her to stop and she immediately turned around and came and sat down. So she may have been pouting in this image. Either way it makes me laugh.

The favor for the guests was apple butter and jalepeno jelly. How cute is that?!

I dont know what it is about this image but I stinkin’ LOVE it!!! I seriously could have posted many, many more pictures but I had to stop myself. I can’t gush enough about this wedding and this couple. Kelsey and Chad, I wish you guys all the happiness in the world! And I expect to be invited over to your back porch for bbq and wine.
