Emily and Brian have been married for almost a year now, and so when my Philbrook Special came up, Emily was one of the first to call. She thought, and I couldn’t agree more, that it was time to update their portraits. I mean, we all know that I love pictures, duh. But when I say that its important to document your life, in any stage, I really mean it. The time that’s post wedding/pre babies in your life is a unique one. And its great to take the opportunity to document where you are in your life. When I look at snapshots of my parents in that stage, I think, wow, they were a couple free lovin’ hippies that lived in the middle of the desert in a tent. That’s sooo different from who they are now. (okay, I’m exaggerating, the “free lovin” may not be true, but  the desert and the tent is all accurate. True story. Dorthy Gish. ). MY POINT IS… whether you’re going to have kiddos or not, don’t wait to have a gorgeous portrait made of you and your hunny. And an anniversary is the perfect opportunity. I’m rambling. Emily and Brian… you guys are gorgeous! Congrats on 1 year of marriage!!blog1blog2blog3

eta: if you got the “Dorthy Gish” reference please slap yourself a high five for being awesome.
