Hali & Spencer: Honeymoon Session – Myrtle Beach Photography

In case you missed yesterday’s blog, I’ll catch you up. At Hali and Spencer’s wedding we were talking about their honeymoon and realized that they were going to Myrtle Beach and I too would be in Myrtle Beach the following week, and not only that, we were staying at the same hotel! So a beach session was a must! Do you know its actually not that out of the ordinary to have a photographer take your pictures on your honeymoon? Did you also know that I am available for that?? I mean no kidding… I will GLADLY go with you to Florida, Jamaica, Italy, wherever for a session. Its only important to me, for you to get awesome pictures. I’m really only thinking of you.
In all seriousness though, it actually is a service we offer not only for honeymooners but for family vacations. It’d be pretty great to bring your photographer with you for the Christmas card picture on the beach this year. Just sayin.
So imagine my surprise my first day in Myrtle Beach when it was pretty darn chilly! I wasn’t expecting hot, but I was expecting it to be warmer than Oklahoma. Well it wasn’t on that day. So playing in the water was a little cold, but Hali and Spencer did great! How could they not? They’re incapable of taking a bad picture. Anyway, enough smackety smack from me!

Hali & Spencer: Married – Gore Wedding Photographer

We’ve established now that I’m a bad blogger, right? K I just wanted to make sure we know that, because this wedding was from last fall. And I had all those lofty goals of blogging all my weddings last year, and it just didn’t happen. But I really, really wanted to post this one so I hope that’s okay with y’all. Spencer and Hali were married at her grandparent’s farm in Gore! They expected a mild October day, but instead they got a pretty hot one. I mean… not August hot. But pretty warm nonetheless. But that didn’t damper the day at all! Hali and her mom are both photographers on the side, so good pictures were important to them! And I’m always thrilled when a couple leaves an adequate amount of time for their portrait session! Their rustic wedding was sweet and fun, which surprise surprise, fits Hali and Spencer perfectly!
So right before their first look somehow Hali and I started talking about her honeymoon. She said they were going to Myrtle Beach… which I was ALSO going to the following Thursday for Brooke and Walt’s wedding. Um… crazy!! And then I asked where they were staying… yep, they were staying the same place I was!! To which I said “Please, please let me do a honeymoon session for y’all on the beach!!” And we squealed and jumped up and down. It was a great moment! (so comeback tomorrow to see that session!)Hali and all of her gorgeous bridesmaids had their makeup done by Ashlee Bivins! She always does a fantastical job!!Aren’t they adorable??Right before Hali’s dad gave her away he got a little emotional. It was such a sweet moment. I’m sooo glad Hali chose to have both me and April photograph her wedding. Had it been just me, I would have been photographing everyone coming down the aisle and missed these important shots. Love the little signs! They make such fun decor for a rustic style wedding. Hali and Spencer, I have loved getting to know y’all! You two are adorable!!

Jennifer & Bryan: Engaged – Tulsa Engagement Pictures

Um… okay… I warned Jennifer that I most definitely would gush over this blog post. So now I’m warning you. If you hate gushing, you should probably go back to Pinterest. Although… if you use Pinterest, you most likely don’t mind gush. Here’s the deal, Jennifer is my newest soul sister. She’s just swell! And she and Bryan together… just STOP it! They’re super cute!! So cute that on anyone else, they would be annoying, but its just charming on them!! Jennifer has said a couple times to me that she finally got her fairy tale, and she really did. Bryan adores her!! They giggle together and flirt like teenagers! Like I said… too darn cute!! So yes, love them love them! I’m so flipping excited about their wedding coming up in the Fall. It going to be fabulous!! Jennifer and Bryan you guys are the best! Dinner and wine soon?!
This was Jennifer’s grandpa’s company so we had to get a picture in front of the sign! Plus that, its so essentially “Tulsa”! Totes my favorite!! Love it!!!I also really love this picture… Jennifer and Bryan think its too “Twilight” But I told them that I didn’t care, that it was going on the blog whether they liked it or not. But I asked them nicely if I could post it anyway because I LOVE it!! They said yes.
