Granny

My Granny was the greatest. I wish more of you could have known her. I’ve been told a lot this week that I’m kind of like her, and what a great compliment that is. So maybe by knowing me, you can get a glimpse of her spirit. She was quirky, funny, and ridiculously talented. I mean… really funny, and really talented. I can’t tell you how much I miss her. Today was my first day back at work, and I suppose, the first day when life was supposed to go on. But I’ve discovered that just because the funeral is over, I’m home, and back to work, doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt just as badly. There’s a hole in my heart that won’t be filled till I see her again in Heaven. So, because I can’t, go squeeze your grandma really tight and tell her how much you love her. And for you photographers that read my blog, go photograph your loved ones. I’m so thankful I took this picture, because I captured her the way I knew her.
I want to thank my incredible clients who have been so amazing and patient this past week. I truly am thankful for those of you who were so understanding. I also want to thank everyone for the nice comments on my blog, Facebook, Twitter, through email and text messages. It really means a lot.

I stalk your blog... Lisa C. is a friend of mine and that is how I found your blog. :o) I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. It's obvious from this beautiful picture that she was a warm person. Thanks for sharing her with us. :o)

July 2, 2009 - 11:33 am Shannon - Andrea, This is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I wish so badly that I had a beautiful picture of my passed granparents. Even though time has gone on after their death, I still often think about them and how much they shaped my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.
