Little Lighthouse Mini Laps

Get out the Kleenex ya’ll…
For those who aren’t familiar with The Little Light House let me tell you a little bit about them. Its a Christian based tuition free school for children ages 0-6 with special needs. The school has been around for 35 years and is just a huge blessing in so many ways. Go to their website www.littlelighthouse.org and read the entire story. It’s really incredible!
They asked me to photograph one of their biggest events of the year, Mini Laps. I believe they raised almost $300,000 at this event alone. The kids actually train to be able to walk or ride this lap. I saw kids that had literally learned to walk this summer walking the lap like pros. The theme, as you’ll notice, was Wizard of Oz. I was so impressed at all the work the parents had gone into decorating and costuming their children. It was probably 90+ degrees outside that day but the kids did so great. And the staff is seriously amazing. I could go on an on about The Little Light House. Its such a great organization. If you’re local, I highly recommend checking them out and seeing how you can get involved!
