(After you’re done reading this blog check out the awesome list of vendors that made this wedding fantastic! Love them all!!)

Well its HIGH TIME we finally have a wedding on here. Its been too darn long! Its a good one… and I’ll probably get annoying and gushy. So just settle in, mmmk?
Aubrie is Erica’s, of Erica Weddings, sister. So this is a girl that’s seen a lot of weddings, and wanted something that was a bit different for this area of the country. From the moment she and Erica started talking about plans, I got excited. I just knew it was going to be a gorgeous day and just a ton of fun to photograph!
The weather that day was crazy cold. But luckily, she and I had already discussed all the fun dramatic shots we could take indoors so we didn’t mind only doing outdoor portraits for just a few short minutes.
The wedding took place at the beautiful First United Methodist Church and the reception was held at Living Arts. Fabulous, right? P.S. Living Arts is now pretty much my favorite place ever for a reception. Its a photographer’s dream.
Let’s look at some loveliness…

Okay I’m gonna need to stop right here. Can we say coolest church shot ever? I’m so lucky to have April working for me. Isn’t she brilliant?

Oh wait we gotta talk about this. The dress is two dresses put together to make something completely unique. And the shoes… get this. There’s a place called Shoes of Prey that you can design your own shoes. So Aubrie picked the style, and created them with her wedding colors and added the matching lace. Ladies, are we loving that idea or what?!

Before the wedding Aubrie went to a recording studio and recorded her singing their song as a surprise to Matt. It was playing during their first look. Just perfect.

You would just never know it was like -32 degrees and about 156 mph winds. Ahh the power of photography.

Beautiful detail shots by April.

These photos of their grandparents that had passed away were added to Aubrie’s bouquet. I thought this was a wonderful way to honor their memory.

I die. I just love this quiet moment before she walked down the aisle. All her girls had gone to line up and Aubrie was quietly waiting for her dad to come get her to escort her down the aisle.

Proud sister.

We had to make a stop downtown between the ceremony and reception for a couple quick (and I mean QUICK. It was frigid!!!) nighttime shots. So glad we did.

Okay… so are you seeing why I love Living Arts? Beautiful big windows and white walls. Like I said, photographer’s dream.

How cool is this decor? Its contemporary yet has the rustic touches.

This was the best toast I’ve ever heard. Hands down. It was beautiful and heartfelt. Well done, Erica.

…and this one had everyone cracking up.

I don’t know what it is about this picture that I love. I just do. (another one of April’s)

Aubrie and Matt also got one of our Snapshot Lounges. Here are a few of my favorites from that…

John Bunn, the videographer. No personality whatsoever…

Okay so when there’s a Snapshot Lounge… I end up in it a lot. Here’s a group of all the vendors that were there. Mike with Blue Label Bartending, John with Redeemed Productions, Zach – Zach Downing Entertainment, Amanda with Ladyfingers Catering, Erica of course, and well, I’m the idiot attempting a backbend.

All of Ladyfingers crew! They rock!!

And last but not least, me and my brides. (Rachel on the right just got married last week so her wedding is yet to be seen)

Aubrie and Matt, you guys are amazing. Working with you this year has been one of my highlights and your wedding was truly fabulous!! So excited to see all the future has in store for you. 🙂
