Stephanie and Billy. These two. Man I kind of love them. I love Stephanie because she’s delightful and we’re soul sisters and love the same things. And I love Billy because I can totally harass him and he turns around and gives it right back to me. I knew after getting to know them that their wedding day was going to be fun. However, I didn’t know we’d be having all that fun in an 18 degree wind chill. It’s important to note that a year before their wedding I was photographing another wedding and it was gorgeous and sunny and warm. So it’s not like you can predict the weather in Oklahoma, amiright? But after a significant amount of time out in that I realized how much their friends loved them. Not once did I hear a bridesmaid or groomsmen complain about being cold – these people are troopers!! I know I’m always talking about the weather on these wedding blogs but there’s a reason: The point is that weather in Oklahoma is HELL. Although we have dreams of the perfect temperature and no wind we get about 3 of those days a year. So it’s important to be flexible, and these folks were!
Stephanie first heard about me when she accompanied a friend to a boudoir promotional party I hosted and we connected right away. When we met to talk about her wedding and I got to hear about her fabulous plans I got crazy excited. She was working with an amazing team of vendors – this chick has great taste! What I love about Stephanie and Billy’s relationship is how much fun they have together. They’re always cracking each other up with their antics and are so comfortable with who they are as a couple. Their faith is at the center of their relationship and it shows. Stephanie and Billy, you know I have a crush on you. Thank you for the honor of being a part of your big day!

A story to note at the reception: I was photographing a large group with the bride and groom. In order to do this I stood on a folding chair. You can guess what happened… fell through, legs in the air (in a dress), ankle and ego terribly bruised. But alas, that’s just another day in the life of Andrea.
